Bible Book Info Relay: A Super Sunday School Lesson From the Bible for Psalm 119:89

Psalm 119:89 and Isaiah 40:8 says this: “The Word of God is eternal. It stands firm in the Heavens.” “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever.” Life is full of change. That’s one thing we can all count on. There’s another thing we can count on and it’s this – God’s Word never changes. Our Bible verse says that it stands firm and will do so forever. Life is filled with cycles of coming and going. The grass withers and flower fall, but God’s Word remains constant. I don’t know about you, but this truth fills my heart with great joy and peace. Learning Styles and Your Homeschool Math Curriculum

Should we be using a different measuring tool for intelligence? Dr. Howard Gardner, a professor of education at Harvard University, thought so. In 1983 he developed the theory of multiple intelligences, a measuring tool that allows for a multi-faceted look at the qualities and talents that comprise true intelligence. Your homeschool curriculum allows the flexibility of incorporating aspects of this theory into all of your lessons in all subjects.

Using the multiple intelligence theory with your homeschool math curriculum is especially effective because math is often the most challenging subject to teach and learn. There are eight intelligences according to Dr. Gardner’s theory. You’ll find them listed below, with suggestions for how each one might fit your child(ren)’s learning needs and how to best integrate them into your math curriculum. Most children will often exhibit more than one of these!

Service Transfer Film

How would you like to finally get rid of all those bulky film reels you have? Well now you can transfer film! There is a service that offers a film to DVD transfer to you, its quick, painless, and best of all inexpensive ! Not only can they transfer your old 8mm and 16mm films but they can also transfer VHS tapes, and they offer other things such as digital restoration. My mom actually had something like this done with all my childhood tapes, oh yes there were a lot of them but with sites like this it really didn’t cost an arm and a leg. The end product was really nice because not only was it better quality wise but its also much more compact than the box of tapes she had in the closet!

If all you want to do is free your old 16mm, 8mm and Super 8mm films from the back closet and make it possible for you to view them again (without having to set up a screen and projector), have them transferred to DVD. You probably have a local company that’ll do this for you (check with photo developers or with companies advertising video production services). The great thing about this is you’ll be able to pop a DVD into your player and watch your long-ago relatives once again. The downside is that your movies might be transferred in no particular order. You may find yourself jumping decades forward and backward as the reels change. To prevent this, screen your movies beforehand and number the reels so they can be transferred in the proper chronological order. This will require a projector, of course. If you don’t own one, see if a local camera store has one available for rent. Or ask the film transfer service you plan to use if it can help you screen your films.
