More and more mothers have decided that their children can learn more through home schooling, either full time, or as a supplement to public schools.

Home schooling is not new, and if you think that your child is not performing well in school, talk to the teachers and ask for some feed back regarding your child. The guidance counselor can also help you in determining the best education for you child. Home schooling is already accepted and perhaps it can help your child learn better in the comforts of your home.

But make sure you establish a time for teaching, and provide the tools and materials children are using in school and home, such as a computer….

A computer is a must in any schooling program today. You’ll find having a computer available at home is helpful, because it can speed up learning. With the help of a computer, you child can have a unique and interesting educational experience. You will also.

Children today should learn about this very important tool, even at an early age and one way to achieve that is through schooling computer programs. At present, even pre-school children are already taught how to use the computer and other support resources.

If you opt for home schooling, you and your child will also spend most of your time making use of the computer and the internet. Educating your children will be much better when done online because of the diverse resources. Your child will be provided with an exceptional education which he/she will greatly benefit from in the near future, since the job market trends today involve the Internet.

Parents of school age children can help their kids learn more effectively by having an internet connection at home. The education of children are better when supported by the parents and they can also help in improving the mindset of their kids as well. The parents can pass on to their kids their great heritage through the various online resources.

Remember that home schooling will only work best if the parents are willing to support their kids all the way. They must also be committed and prepared for the challenges that they are about to encounter. The parents should look for a good computer program that can help their children learn all about computer usage.

Often times, the lessons are divided into several parts or series, so that the children can cope easily. Kids have various learning capacities and since they are not given much chance in traditional schools, this is their chance to bring out their best through the use of computers.

Before you decide to home school your children, bring up the subject. See how your kid reacts to the idea and tell him/her about its advantages. Tell them that the online computer classes will help them with their studies, and learning will be a lot easier,

It’s better if you and your child both agree to home schooling. Persuading your child to commit to it will not be very good and so you have to seriously talk now. Spend time with your child and know his/her interests. Explain that computer programs can greatly help.

Besides, tell your child that they can indulge more in their interests if they know how to use the computer.

So why not look for the best-suited computer program now? There are lots of online schooling programs to choose from, and it will take some time before you can find the appropriate one. In addition to the standard schooling programs, you’ll find information on my website.

The challenges of learning are that if it is enjoyable, the information is readily absorbed. Success with it, brings more motivation. If not, it’ll be harder for students to process the given information. What better solution than to make learning an enjoyable and interactive experience by learning with flashcards? But as it is a rudimentary tool, not everyone may show immediate interest with it. This is where the work comes in.

Learning with flashcards can be a fun and interactive educational experience for both children and adults. Flashcards are simple media of instruction used commonly for the basic education of children. But the employment of these educational tools can also extend to adult education.

Using flashcards develops and improves retention of information and improves the connection of synapses. A flashcard’s obverse side would usually contain a singular image of an object, organism, letter, word, or number depending on its use. Such minimalism in design allows a person to focus on the card’s image when it is flashed. Sometimes, additional information that is written concisely is printed on the reverse sides of the cards. If the flashcards are particularly designed for guessing games, the information written on the reverse sides are answers or literal references of the images on the front.

Most teachers, lecturers and parents find that learning with flashcards is quick, direct, and hassle-free. Their diverse and colorful designs attract children and adults alike. The images printed on the cards and the manners in which they are used (“flashing of cards”) stimulate the mind to quickly look for references to identify the flashed images. This is why flashcards are ideal to use as educational games.

The real difficulty of a certain subject matter or problem can also be lessened by choosing flashcards of varying difficulties, or it can be made more unpredictably challenging by employing a random flash method. This is often used in testing individuals. Repetition is also employed in using flashcards. Such method gradually embeds in the viewers the flashed images and allows them to remember a specific image more.

One of the most important advantages of using flashcards is they are easy and fast to reproduce. Making flashcards can be your art project with kids, students and family members. With just crayons, color markers, paper boards, and scissors you can produce your unique set of flashcards that friends, family, or students can enjoy and learn from.

Everybody knows YouTube.com, the free video media site. It seems like everyone these days is using YouTube’s services to make themselves a star, market their products and services and generally make sure that every bit of anything important is captured on video by someone somewhere. But how many of you ever considered using YouTube for your homeschooling?

How in the world, you ask, could someone use user-uploaded videos for teaching purposes? Easy, if you do a bit of looking around beforehand. You’ll probably spend more time sifting through available footage for just the “right” stuff, but with a little perseverance and patience, and perhaps a little bit of luck too, you’ll find plenty of material to add to your learning experiences.

YouTube for Social Studies: Much of the 20th century’s greatest moments and it seems as though all of the 21st century’s, as well, have been captured by video cameras. Don’t simply read about an event – witness it firsthand. Search for the event itself – 1968 Olympics – or for a key figure – Neil Armstrong. You may not have been born when the moon landings occurred, but you can still watch them with all the awe and wonder of those who were there. For events previous to the days before moving pictures, there are a wide choice of videos including entire movies (The Crossing, for example,) documentaries (National Geographic’s Ancient Egypt) and home movies of costumed reenactments. And then there are the travel documentaries, giving you a real world view of cultures and places you can’t truly experience with a book.

YouTube for Science: Everything from nature documentaries to home-made science experiments have been posted to YouTube. You can even see a frog dissection, a fine example of Bernoulli’s Principle in action or a volcanic eruption caught on film.

YouTube for Maths: Having trouble with algebra? Or calculus? Or are you stuck on long division? There’s a video tutorial for all of it. You’ll probably find what you’re looking for quickly and easily by add “Basics” to your keyword search – Algebra basics, basic long division, etc.

YouTube for Language: From phonics videos with catchy tunes and animation for the little ones to a college professor giving a tutorial on effective essay writing, to scenes from Shakespearean productions to both the famous and the not-so-famous reading or reciting poetry, YouTube has a plethora of videos to add some spark to your language lessons. You can even see a vid on how to do the dreaded sentence diagramming. Not that you’d want to, but you can…..

YouTube for Foreign Language: YouTube has at least one channel devoted to teaching foreign language basics – foreignlanguagehouse. However you can also find music videos, newscasts, even soap operas and movies, in a wide variety of foreign languages.

YouTube for the Arts: Want to watch a biography of Leonardo da Vinci from the History Channel? Or how about a video series on watercolor technique? Or have a front row seat at a performance of Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz by the Vienna Philharmonic? You can have that all in one afternoon thanks to YouTube’s more culturally literate side. Talk about a music video!

You may not have thought of YouTube as an educational aid, but as you can see, it has a great deal to offer your homeschool. And it’s all for free, which makes it even better!

Thinking about homeschooling? Want to avoid the homeschooling mistakes most people make? Below you’ll find what we’ve discovered from homeschooling our 5 children from birth to college.

In 1987 homeschooling was just as newborn as our first child. We looked at homeschooling for a number of reasons which were mostly related to our academic goals. And yet, our first child’s Cerebral Palsy tipped the scales. The simple nature of having a young and impressionable soul around active and undiscerning ‘friends’ made it clear that we should homeschool.. We really didn’t want our son settling into confusion about what he was capable of doing. So, we decided to give it a try until he was old enough to physically function well around others who were his age, but weren’t his friends. We thought it would be through third grade—it lasted until he went to the University of Texas in Austin.

Now, these 23 plus years later, we know seven things that we make sure all of our homeschool coaching students start to understand–inside and out. If you want a successful homeschool embrace these seven (or violate any of these at your own risk)!

Define Homeschool Success for Yourself
Use a Curriculum that Matches Your Definition
Don’t Compete with Public or Private Schools
Find a Support Group(s) or Network
Learn to Use Systems for Success
Make Discipline a Nice Word
Find a Coach

Here’s a quick summary to get you started:

Define Homeschool Success for Yourself

Definitions determine everything. If your definition of “learning math” is to ‘get through the book’—then things will turn out very different from the family whose definition is to “learn how to do math.” The definition for homeschooling success that we use is our basic understanding of education. Education is learning how to learn. We want our students to develop skills for learning so they are prepared for anything. How sad when people think knowing information means education…especially when information changes and your are obsolete because you didn’t keep learning.

Use a Curriculum that Matches Your Definition

There are as many curricula as there are people (so it seems). Every curriculum is build on some set of assumptions or educational philosophy. Some writing curricula believe (falsely) that we learn to write by studying grammar, while others show the students the power of learning to write by actively writing (for example see http://www.advanced-writing-resources.com). Whatever the curriculum for whatever subject-make sure it matches your own definition so you aren’t caught wanting one result while using a process that takes you in the opposite direction.

Don’t Compete with Public or Private Schools

One of the great mistakes is to compete with schools. A homeschool does not have large buildings, massive funding, and a variety of specialized teachers. So, trying to produce the results they aim for will simply exhaust you. Homeschool can actually produce greater skill and knowledge, but trying to match all the subjects a school offers is chasing the wind. By the way, the students aren’t always leaving a school system as educated as you think!

Find a Support Group(s) or Network

It is the height of arrogance and the height of inefficiency to go it alone. Why not benefit from the wisdom and knowledge of others? Why not let others benefit from the insights you’ve gained along the way? There are groups online, groups in your part of the world, or groups just waiting to be started by you and a few like-minded families. You’ll never be like the people you don’t hang around…so get busy and connect for your own good.

Learn to Use Systems for Success

One of the great insights in life is how things operate by cause-and-effect. Good cooks can reproduce the same quality meal over-and-over because they follow some type of system (recipe). The practical results you see in life are largely the result of the systems we use. Homeschooling itself is a ‘different system’ of education which is aimed at a bit different result (included the character, sense of family, etc., it often affords). If you don’t have an overall sequence of steps you are moving toward following, then you can rest assured your results will be as shoddy as your system.

Make Discipline a Nice Word

One of my favorite mentors, Robert Fritz, offers a helpful definition of discipline: “Discipline is when you itch, but don’t scratch.” The truth is that some amount of discipline is necessary for learning. Very few children naturally gravitate to wanting to learn in all the areas important to education. It turns out then, that we must help them do what they don’t “feel” like doing, so they can ultimately benefit. External discipline tends to lead to life-long internal discipline. We all need help doing what needs to be done. Homeschool (or any school) simply won’t work without making discipline a nice word which is practiced often.

Find a Coach / Mentor

In many ways it is the ultimate hypocrisy to ‘tutor’ our own children without having a ‘tutor’ for ourselves. There is something powerful when we discuss, interact with, and learn from someone who is ahead of us in any field. Sports training knows the value of coaches because the competition and economics involved are so great. Without a coach you can’t compete. If you find a voice or two you trust, a person or two whose results you want to see in your life— find them, pay them, beg them to coach you. Nothing will save you more time and heartache than to learn from someone with wisdom.

The basis for our education system has not changed much over the past five thousand years. We may now be teaching children from an earlier age, but this is simply tapping into children’s natural genius; much as Mozart’s father did when he began teaching him at the age of four.

But what we teach our children as the basis of our education system becomes the building blocks for their future education and careers. These building blocks are reading, writing and counting.

Every word that you read, every letter that you write and every number that you see and can calculate was built on this foundation of reading, writing and counting.

It is therefore important to make sure that your home schooled preschooler has a solid foundation in the basics of these three skills before they move onto more difficult and complex tasks. By ensuring that they can read with ease and enjoy reading for fun, that they can write the letters of the alphabet and numbers and can count from 1 to 100 (not such a difficult task) you will ensure that the rest of their learning becomes easy and fun and that they don’t associate these simple tasks with difficulty.

The greatest obstacle to home schooling your preschooler is to ensure that you always have their attention when learning these basic skills. By following a few simple rules, you ensure that they not only have fun, but also that they see themselves as succeeding at it, thus increasing their confidence and making future learning fun and easy as well.

Reading

Teach your child the 100 most common words in the English language. This will ensure that they are able to read approximately half of everything written in the English Language. This can range from the bible to a medical encyclopaedia. All books and written material will contain these 100 words. This provides an excellent basis for their future reading.

Writing

The skill of writing, a much revered skill of the past, is at its simplest a matter of hand-eye coordination. You have to simply introduce your home schooled preschooler to writing by getting them to doodle with a pen on paper. Once they are comfortable with the idea of a pen, show them how to hold it and once they are comfortable with that action, show them how to write letters.

Your three or four year old will be able to write the letters of the alphabet within a month. It won’t be very neat or exact, but will be on par with a doctor’s handwriting.

Counting

Begin by teaching your child the primary numbers – 0 to 9. Then show them the numbers in your day-to-day world. Show them the numbers in books, magazine, phone numbers and on TV. Soon they will begin to recognise the numbers and you can then begin to teach them to count further. Remember do not teach your preschooler everything at once, but instead teach them in small increments letting them fully understand one concept before moving onto the next one.

In Conclusion

When you are home schooling your preschooler, remember that you are not on anyone’s schedule other than your child’s. So, spend as much time as you need making sure that they have a solid and confident grasp of the basics, thus ensuring the success of your preschoolers future education and also making future learning easier for them.

Problem solving is a learned skill and can be enhanced in your home schooled learners. To develop this skill your home schooled learners have to see you as a role model who has effective problem solving skills. Life allows us to have a large array of choices. Some decisions are simple but others require more effort. Problem solving is a normal reaction for us. It becomes second nature when making decisions. There is a process we work through to solve problems. Some problems need more effort than others to find solutions.

A method for developing problem solving skills is to make your home schooled learners aware that there are five steps to solving a problem and reinforce them so they have the skills to work through any problems with their studies. This builds a strong foundation for problem solving throughout life.

What is the Problem – The first step for your home schooled learner is to recognise that a problem exists and that solving it is necessary. The problem belongs to the learner so don’t down grade the importance as each problem will be unique.

Defining the Problem – Your home schooled learner will decide how important the problem is and how much attention it deserves. They will decide why it is a problem for them and whether it is a part of an ongoing problem. They may need to talk this through with you to make things clearer.

Working a Solutions – Has this problem arisen before and what solution did they use to solve it. Is there more than one option to solving the problem and what is their plan to tackle the problem.

Making a Decision – Assist you learner to make a decision as to which problem solving option they will use and examine what they feel the solution will be.

Solve The Problem – Put in motion the solution and give it time to succeed. Implement changes needed to be made. Evaluate how the problem was solved or why you need to rethink.

Helping your home schooled learner solve problems is part of your job description as their teacher. It is very important to teach them the essential life skill of effective problem solving as this leads to fostering independence.

Today, getting an online high school GED is becoming a popular option for individuals who cannot attend traditional classroom sessions. A GED is an accepted equivalent to a diploma in a lot of cases. However, some employers still specify that they prefer people who have high school diplomas. The best way to bridge the gap between getting a diploma and still enjoying the benefits of studying at home is to find a suitable online academy that will provide their students a real diploma instead of just a certificate or a GED.

One of the biggest issues with people who cannot or do not want to attend regular classroom-based education is the pace. Some students want to ruminate over a lesson for a long time while others are done with their study materials halfway through the school term.

This is a problem that online home schooling addresses. Good online academies usually have a self-pacing program where students can determine when they are ready to move on to the next lesson. There are no deadlines to beat and students are not pressured to finish before the next GED exam schedule because at the end of the program, they will still get their diploma.

Why settle for an online high school GED when you can get a diploma without having to attend class daily, with a regular schedule? Whether you are getting a diploma to get ahead in life or to simply feel a sense of accomplishment, receiving a diploma will be more worth it the effort.

Continental Academy is a Florida-based distance learning high school that provides high school diplomas to students instead of just an online high school GED. It fully supports home schooling and has been providing quality education since 1996. See ContinentalAcademy.com or call 800-285-3514 for more information.

Getting an online high school diploma is becoming more popular because of home schooling. Over the last few years, online degrees at the collegiate level have progressed substantially, creating amazing resources for high school students to utilize at home. A lot of students want to learn at home and at their own pace, without worrying about catching up with the rest of the class or learning faster than the teacher can teach. Home schooling is also an option that an increasing number of parents favor because it allows them to be as hands-on as possible when it comes to their children’s education.

However, most online academies do not really go as far as giving their students a diploma. Most of them only prepare the student for the battery of exams that he needs to take to pass the GED. While the GED is a certificate that some employers or universities accept in place of a diploma, more prestigious ones have a strict high school diploma requirement. This means that getting only a GED will restrict a student’s potential when it comes to employment or higher learning. It is proven that people with high school diplomas earn more and feel a higher level of accomplishment than those who merely have a GED.

Therefore, if you have decided on home schooling, make sure that you are going to find a school that will actually give you an online high school diploma. It is a good idea to invest in a school that allows you to go at your own pace but is always there to assist you whenever you need it, like when you find a difficult lesson in your course. It is important to check the quality of the school you are planning to enroll in because you are not only investing your time, money and effort on them, you are also investing on your future.

You spent months agonizing over the curriculum you were going to use with your homeschooler. You negotiated room in your already full house to prepare a learning environment within your home. You steeled yourself against your family’s doubts over whether or not homeschooling was the best decision for your family, and hopefully you triumphed! You have done everything you can to get your child prepared for the road ahead completing their high school education, but why stop there?

Let’s face it, college is necessary these days. Whether your child wants to be an engineer, a minister, or a stay-at-home dad with something interesting to talk about, you need a college degree! It’s not news to you that homeschoolers are at a disadvantage in the college admissions process, in fact, if you’re like me, you’ve heard nothing but pessimistic views on a homeschooler’s ability to get into a university of their choice. Even trying to serve my country the army, my transcripts were looked at with the suspicious eye normally reserved for the shadiest of characters. I wish I knew then what I know now.

Unlike the above, this will be news to you: homeschoolers have a distinct advantage over traditional school children when it comes to preparing their transcripts. Unlike the average graduate entering college, the homeschooler’s transcripts can be customized to illustrate the value that their education and achievements will bring to the school of their choice! rather than just being one of a thousand printouts at the end of the year, you as a parent hold the keys to your child’s future at the tips of your fingertips. You will be the one crafting the transcripts for admissions departments to read.

I don’t expect that you know how to craft a transcript that will impress college admissions naturally, but with the right guidance and some serious effort on your part, you can be crafting amazing transcripts that show how much your child has to offer their community.

What is Your Child’s Dominant Learning Style?

Learning to read with phonics is the proven way to go. Knowing your child’s dominant learning style can help tremendously with the journey. There are four main learning styles which most children and adults fall under. They are visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic. It is possible to learn best within more than one of the groups, but one group will usually be dominant.

When you play a phonics game with your child, it is important to focus on the learning style that she is the most comfortable with and that produces the fastest and easiest results.
I will share some tips with you to help you figure out which one of the four learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile, kinesthetic) is your child’s dominant learning style.
It’s all about being able to recognize the subtle clues your child is displaying for you. When you work with her on other lessons and in different subjects, you will be able to make it much easier for her and a lot more fun!

Next I will show you the language and behavior of the “visual” learner, followed by the language and behavior of the “auditory” learner. After that we’ll discuss the “tactile” learner. And finally, to wrap up this review on the four learning styles we will discuss the “kinesthetic” learner.

The Visual Learner

To determine whether your child’s dominant learning style is visual notice if she easily gets distracted by clutter or others moving around while she’s working on her phonics reading and trying to concentrate. Does she prefer seeing pictures, words, diagrams, charts, videos, slide shows, and wall posters? How about if she prefers using picture clues and verbal instructions rather than just verbal directions alone when you are playing games?

Other things to consider is if she remembers the faces of new friends and where their play date was pretty easily but then forgets their names, uses words often that ask you to show her rather than tell her something, finds it hard or boring to listen to instructions for more than a few minutes at a time, and finds it easy to conjure up vivid pictorial scenes from her imagination.
If you agree with many of these questions, you’ve got a visual learner on your hands!

With her learning style in mind, here are some tips on how to teach her phonics reading skills and beyond:
1) Use picture cards and moveable alphabets more to help her learn phonics reading.
2) When she gets older, give her the “big picture” of what she is studying and then fill in the details. Teach her how to work with mind maps. Give her the tools she needs to use symbols to represent ideas and organize information. The images will help her to focus and visualize data.
3) If she has to memorize information, have her close her eyes and see what it is that’s she’s memorizing. Tell her to pretend her mind is a camera and she can take pictures of what she needs to memorize.
4) Learning meditation would be an asset too because it will teach her how to “tune out” distractions that would take away her focus.

I think you get the idea…it’s all about teaching visualization and being creative in how you present phonics lessons to your visual learner. Next let’s discuss the auditory learner…

The Auditory Learner

Let’s go through a checklist to see if your child is giving you clues that she’s an auditory learner:
1) Does she easily gets distracted by random sounds or noises while she’s working on her phonics reading and trying to concentrate?
2) Does she prefer listen to a story being told rather than flipping through the pages of the book and looking at the pictures?
3) Does she ask you to “say that again” or “tell me what you said”?
4) Does she prefer you to give her verbal instructions rather than written ones?
5) Does she ask you to play sounding out words more often than not?
6) Does she enjoy listening more than speaking?
7) Do you notice that when she builds words using the picture cards and moveable alphabet…she spends more time in the phase of sounding out the words rather than building them?
Does she seek to “hear” and “think” more often than not?
9) Do you notice that she repeats information that she is learning out loud and focuses on what she is repeating intently?

After going through these questions, if you answered the majority of them ‘yes’ then your child is most likely an auditory learner! Here are some tips on how to teach your auditory learner phonics reading as well as other subjects:
*Use tape recorded lessons to help her fully understand at a deeper level whatever lessons she is working on.
*As she gets older and begins studying for her school assignments, quiz and coach her by practicing with oral exams and playing recorded lectures and speeches.
Try to avoid having unnecessary noises in the background while she is studying. Although, it would be a *great idea to play soft classical music that she enjoys because they would enhance her learning.

Next, let’s discuss how a tactile learner will learn the best…

The Tactile Learner

I’ve put together a checklist for you to review to determine if your child is a tactile learner. Please answer
the following questions:
1) Does your child easily get distracted by random movement and activity around her while she’s working on her phonics reading and trying to concentrate?
2) Does she prefer to write down words or write out a story as she has perceived it or wants to tell it?
3) Does she prefer to touch and feel story books with the raised fabric on the pages rather than listen to the story or just flip through the pages and look at the pictures?
4) Does she like to express herself with gestures and movement?
5) Does she like to write her words to see if they feel right to her after she has put them down on paper?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the majority of questions in this checklist, then your child’s dominant learning style is tactile! I have compiled some tips for you to use with your tactile learner for both phonics reading lessons and more:
1) Use flash cards and memory games to help her learn her lessons.
2) Allow her to act out through role playing whatever she is working on…this will make it much easier for her to understand it and to remember it.
3) When she is older and studying for her school assignments, quiz and coach her by enacting scripted plays of what she is working on.
4) Let her build models of what she is studying. This will yield great results!
5) It’s okay to have noise in the background, more than likely, that will not bother her.

It will be hard for your tactile learner to learn if she is forced to sit still for long periods of time. Schedule much needed breaks for her to move around. Also, get her involved in sports, martial arts, dance and the like because anywhere she can move and learn will be her cup of tea.
Finally, let’s discuss how to teach reading with phonics to a kinesthetic learner…

The Kinesthetic Learner

How do you know if your child is a kinesthetic learner? Answer these questions:
1) Does your child easily get distracted by activity around her when she is working on her phonics reading and trying to concentrate?
2) Does she constantly feel the need to get up and move around the classroom?
3) Does she have high energy and enjoy action oriented play?
4) Does she prefer figuring things out on her own rather than following directions?
If your child is a highly energetic, go-getter that needs to move around to be stimulated, you have a kinesthetic learner!

A kinesthetic learner engages in whatever they are trying to learn with full body, physical activity.
When your kinesthetic learner is building words, nine times out of ten she will lie on her stomach and sprawl out comfortably and tune out everything else in the process while she works.
Kinesthetic learners learn as they do. They don’t think about it first and then try to figure it out. They just do it! They understand what they are learning when they are actually doing it.
Never try to pin your kinesthetic learner down to a seat. That would be a big mistake and cause her learning experience to be difficult and negative.

Kinesthetic learners are very creative and artistic. They enjoy and thrive when engaging in scientific experiments. Sports, dramatic play, and dance, are all things that are fun and easy for the kinesthetic learner.

Some other things to know about kinesthetic learners are:
1) Kinesthetic learners have great hand to eye coordination.
2) When they are older students, it’s great to teach them how to use their “mind’s eye” to visualize and recall their own body’s movements when they are trying to recall information from prior lessons. They will benefit greatly from learning this easy technique.
3) Playing music in the background when a kinesthetic learner is studying will be okay and not distract from their learning experience…especially if you are playing upbeat classical music.

Let’s Sum it All Up!

There will probably be some overlap between the four main learning styles that you will observe in your child. After you observe your child and figure out her dominate style, your approach to teaching her phonics reading will be easier and more effective. Were you able to discover which learning style you follow: visual, auditory, tactile, or kinesthetic?

Knowing your child’s dominant learning style is such a benefit because when you want to play phonics games with her, you can just use the games that are geared more towards her specific learning style. Scientific studies have shown that when you engage three senses while performing any given task it becomes permanent knowledge assimilated by the brain after doing it about five times. Thankfully there are products which can teach you how to utilize the four learning styles to teach your child in the best way possible.
